    Role Overview:

    Responsibilities

    Success Criteria:

    Each state and province has its own nuances when it comes to taxes.  You’ll add significant value by filing taxes, taking ownership of tax projections, and developing meaningful and consistent quarterly KPI’s

     

    Do you pride yourself on an extremely high sense of integrity and eye for detail?  Your proficiency with domestic and international tax reporting will be vital as you ensure compliance in all activities.  Your peers will also rely on you as the tax expert while you collaborate to gain efficiencies. 

     

    Looking to gain executive visibility? Deep-diving into data will help you tailor your message to our leadership team and wider organization. You’ll also have the opportunity to find your niche working on self-driven projects. You might even find career opportunities you didn’t know were possible!

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS degree in accounting or related field, or related work experience
    • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
    • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in tax (industry or industry/public mix)
    • Experience in multi-state taxation or foreign taxation is a plus
    • JDE experience preferred but not required

    Required Skills:

    • Interpersonal Skills: ability to effectively interact with controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
    • Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office, Word, Outlook, Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Pivot Tables & V Look up
    • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic (willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed)
    • Time Management: Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
    • Thorough knowledge of general accounting methods, principles, and the ability to apply this knowledge
    • Broad understanding of overall US tax and related accounting
    • Broad understanding of fixed asset accounting
